Stab High Japan 2025 – Shizunami Surf Stadium
Following its debut in Japan last year, Stab High Japan returned in 2025 to Shizunami Surf Stadium for its second edition.
This event, organized by the international surf media outlet STAB, is an invite-only aerial surfing contest held at locations around the world. Unlike typical WSL contests, Stab High focuses purely on aerial maneuvers, showcasing some of the most progressive and innovative surfers in the sport.
This year’s event featured top aerial surfers from across the globe, offering a rare chance to see high-level aerial surfing in Japan.
Seven surfers from Japan joined the lineup: Kaito Ohashi, Hiroya Miwa, Tomoji Mori, Reiji Masuda, Yosuke Inami, Nijiho Tsuzuki, and Yuzuki Inami. Their performances energized the crowd and highlighted the growing presence of Japanese surfers on the international stage.
